Barev. I’m Katar, which means “summit” or “peak of a mountain” in Armenian.
Before discovering the tourism industry, I had the pleasure of working with Media NGO and the Armenian Red Cross Society, where I also became a First Aid instructor.
My journey in tourism began in 2007, and since then, I’ve been captivated by the magic of travel, being passionate about traveling and discovering new places both within my country and abroad, meeting new people and connecting them to the people of my country. I believe that the true essence of any place lies in its people, and I love connecting travelers with the heart and soul of my homeland.
I’m detail-oriented with strong communication and organizational skills. I am excited to design unique itineraries including special activities also for the returning travelers.
Recently, I’ve delved deeper into wine tourism, completing a certified training course in designing and wine tour guiding, which has become another passion of mine.
Armenia, with its rich history dating back thousands of years, holds a significant place in the world of winemaking. The country’s winemaking tradition is deeply rooted in its cultural heritage and has been passed down through generations.
Today, Armenia’s wine industry is experiencing a renaissance, with a growing number of boutique wineries gaining international recognition for their distinctive wines. The country’s diverse microclimates, high-altitude vineyards, and ancient grape varietals contribute to the production of premium wines that reflect Armenia’s terroir and heritage.
As a wine tourist guide, I love to curate an unforgettable journey for visitors and share my passion for wine.
Alongside, I run the “Armenia Photo Tour” page on Facebook, showcasing the hidden gems of Armenia through my photography, inspired by the breathtaking beauty of nature.
Being environmentally conscious, I prioritize sustainable practices in my tours. I find joy in hiking, practicing yoga, swimming, exploring Armenian folk dances, and indulging in a bit of adventure.
I organize and conduct cultural, gastronomic, wine and hiking tours, offering a diverse range of experiences for travelers.
